As you hear in the call or see in that write up a guy named Ben Day from Helthcare NOW used a tactic of generating phone calls to representative Kennedy’s office by standing in front of grocery stores and having constituents call his office. It took their team about 250 calls over two weeks to flip Kennedy and have him sign on he’s currently in talks with Rep Pramila Jayapal on final wording for his signature and he has come out on the record as saying he will support HR 676.

I’ve reached out to Ben and he is willing to work with us he’s even provided me a copy of the letter that they used to lobby Kennedy. I just need to set us up a day and time that we can all go. Follow our page I’ll make sure I update as soon as we coordinate dates that work for him and I know another member of our revolution is also already speaking with the DSA who are planning to help with this as well.

So to my mind next steps are:

1. Get through the holidays

2. Join one of these early January calls

3. Then I’ll get an event out there for us to meet with Ben and as many local organizing groups as possible.

And heck if it just ends up and be alone on the phone with Ben that will be useful anyway lol.
