Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez pledges minimum $15 wage for interns on her staff, no more unpaid interns

I agree with Cenk in this TYT clip when he asks, is there a benefit for some small businesses or situations to do unpaid internships? OF COURSE! Is D.C. the place for that? NO!

Money should not be the deciding factor on weather you can bring your people from your district to D.C. with you. Average political organizers in public college can't afford rent in D.C. Look at student loan numbers FFS. It is the very rich that benefit from this kind of insider positioning. Privileged kids with family money to put them up in D.C. while paying for their "legacy law degree" afford them a leg-up. That's not how this should work.

Here again another example of AOC slaying it while she walks-the-walk. I've had SO much fun watching her open chronicle of what getting on-boarded to Congress is like. In a dorky way I feel excited she is letting us in on the journey, and I think her transparency will have benefits to those of us looking to get more engaged. Call me a fan-girl if you want but AOC makes me excited the same way Bernie does. I can't wait to see her on the front lines with the #GreenNewDeal folks on Monday! That girl is all hustle. #OurRevolution
